About Project N8

Square

Project N8 is an online Bible reading community. The idea grew out of the time when I read my Bible from Genesis to Revelation in 6 months. (Project N8: My story) I wanted to help others read their Bible from cover to cover in 6 months too.

I found out that if you want to read the Bible through you will need a few things. (Bible reading 101) You’ll need a Bible, motivation, and a plan. Project N8 is designed to help meet those needs, and equip you to grow closer to Jesus. (What is Project N8?)

Many Christians have not read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. One reason is that they aren’t convinced they should. (Why you should read the Bible) As Christians we want to know God as well as we possibly can. That’s why we read the Bible. To get to know Him better. And as we get to know Him, we want to be like Him. But we can’t do that if we don’t know what He’s like! That’s why we read His Word. To understand what He’s like, and to let Him make us more like Him.

Project N8 is modeled after Nehemiah chapter 8. (Rubble rebuilt) Just like the people of Isreael in Nehemiah’s day, our nation is desperately in need of revival. We have forgotten our God, and already we see the results that rebellion brings. We need to return to the Word of God.

Through Project N8, I want to help you get into the habit of reading the Bible every day so that you can continue to grow more like Christ long after Project N8 is done. Because when this life is over, it won’t matter that you did Project N8, what will matter is that your relationship with Him grew because of it.

With my whole heart I have sought You;
Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!
Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You.
Blessed are You, O Lord!
Teach me Your statutes.  -Psalm 119:10-12

Project N8 will be starting again at an undecided future date. If you want to join you can sign up here or via email. If you would like more information about Project N8, or would like to be updated about future openings send us an email at info@new.acbpak.org.

Commonly asked questions and the answers

Q: How much do I have to read each day? A: 10 chapters a day, 5 days a week, with 2 catch-up days.

Q: How much does it cost? A: Monetarily, nothing, but it will cost you physically, mentally, and spiritually. But the reward is worth the cost.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. -Matthew 10:8

Q: What translation is used? A: Whichever translation you have. Though we would kindly ask you not to use The Message. Our reason is that The Message is more of a commentary instead of a translation.

Q: Does the plan jump around, or is it straight forward? A: We begin at Genesis 1-10, and go straight through the Bible 10 chapters at a time. No hopping around.

Q: How will I know what to read each week? A: Every week’s plan is posted with links to audio Bible, and a downloadable printout on the Project N8 page.

Q: Will I get emails? A: Yes. You will receive weekly emails designed to encourage and motivate you to keep going.

Q: Do I have to read, or can I listen to the Bible? A: You can read, or listen. Whichever is good for you.

Q: When does it start? A: Project N8 is starting again on July 7, 2019.

What our graduates have to say

“Project N8 is an opportunity to get to know God more. His character, His plan for mankind and our part in it all. It’s not hard at all. I just press play and listen. I’m 45 years old and for the 1st time in my life I have read through the Bible, Genesis to Revelation. Wow!” -Marc Crider

“The first 6-8 weeks are the hardest, because that’s when the habit of reading 10 chapters everyday is developing. Once the habit is made, it is a lot easier just to focus on listening to what God has to tell us.” -Courtney Peetz

“It was such a blessing to read/listen to the Bible in 6 months. It was a rushed pace and I wouldn’t recommend it to be done at that pace each time, but it was refreshing to have so much of God’s Word flowing through my mind during that 6 month span of time. I encourage you to prayerfully consider the challenge. If it’s something you feel God would have you do, then please be obedient to your King’s wishes. To please Him is a wonderful thing. He will no doubt bless your efforts.” -Rick Robertson

“I learned so much, I can’t believe I haven’t already gone through the Bible from cover to cover before! At first I thought that doing it in six months was a little crazy… but I’m so glad I did, and accountability made all the difference. It was so eye opening to read through it so fast and grasp the big picture of the overall story of the Bible” -Sara Willoughby

I was very excited, thrilled, and impressed with myself when I finished reading the Bible from Genesis to Revelation for the first time! I started to see the whole tapestry of God’s plan for humanity. I feel very accomplished, and feel capable of doing things like it.“-Kirk Peetz
