First in God’s eyes

Square

Before everything, God loved us first. We’ve forgotten that God loves us. I’m so in awe of the fact that God chose us, even though He didn’t need us. We don’t deserve anything He gives, but He provides for us so generously. We “were dead in [our] transgressions and sins…

But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” (Ephesians 2:1 and 4-5).

We are so extremely indebted to Christ. We have disobeyed Him even after His constant forgiveness. We are all so worthless without Him, yet we’re so undeserving of the wonderful gifts He gives. We deserve death, but God gave us His Only Son. He loves us SO MUCH to where NO ONE can comprehend. No theologist, no scientist, no genius, can comprehend the things God has done for us. He has called us out of darkness, out of the deep, dark sin we are trapped in. But we have ignored His calling, and we must turn back to Him for salvation.

  1. We are so indebted to Christ. What an encouragement to know that He was willing to die on the cross for sinners like us.

    Thanks for the story.
